SCOPE OF JOB

The Sushi Chef is responsible for the proper efficiency and profitable functioning of the sushi station, maintaining high standards of quality and developing gastronomic Sushi recipes.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operating efficiently the sushi station
  • Preparing sushi recipes
  • Excellent knowledge of sushi menu and cooking and preparation techniques
  • Ensuring high standards of presentation and quality
  • Following Company’s policies, procedures and service standards
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of all kitchen areas by following all Food Safety procedures and standards
  • Ensuring correct stock levels are maintained, rotated and stored correctly, adhering to FIFO

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Level of Experience

  • Previous experience in Sushi station and Asian cuisine

 

Qualifications

  • Culinary Arts diploma
  • Basic Food Safety certificate

 

Skills & Knowledge

  • Excellent food handling skills
  • Broad knowledge of sushi cooking techniques and food styles
  • Good planning, organizational and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of hygiene, health & safety and licensing regulations
