SCOPE OF JOB

The main purpose of this role is to support the Executive Chef ensuring that the kitchen is running consistently and efficiently at all times. The jobholder plays an integral part in ensuring that all food prepared and served adheres to food handling guidelines in addition to the hygiene regulations.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
  • Set up the kitchen ready for service
  • Ensure highest standards in line with Columbia guidelines
  • Work within the food budgets
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels and wastage
  • Ensure effective stock rotation
  • Adhere to all Food Safety, Hygiene and Health & Safety requirement
