SCOPE OF JOB

A Cashier’s primary role is to assist customers in the in-store check-out process.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Handling all cash and card transactions with customers
  • Assisting customers throughout the check-in and check-out process
  • Maintaining adequate change denominations in the cash drawer
  • Ensuring pricing is accurate
  • Greeting customers when entering or leaving the establishment
  • Resolving customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
  • Reporting incidents concerning guests
  • Maintaining clean and tidy checkout areas
  • Communicating well at all levels, customers as well as staff
  • Coordinating and liaison with the restaurant’s management

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Level of Experience

  • Proven working experience as a Cashier
  • Proven customer service experience

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma

 

Skills & Knowledge

  • Fluent in Greek and English
  • Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g. cash register, scanners, money counters etc)
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Customer satisfaction-oriented
  • Sales skills
